Experience

Working with Megan

Your session isn’t about standing stiff and saying “cheese”—it’s about slowing down, having fun, and letting real moments unfold naturally.

From the moment you book, I’m here to help guide you through everything so you never feel unsure of what to do. I’ll help with location ideas, outfit direction, and gentle posing so you feel comfortable and confident in front of the camera.

During your session, I’ll give you prompts instead of poses—things that help you interact, laugh, move, and connect with each other. That’s where the real magic happens. The wind in your hair, the way you look at each other when you forget the camera is even there—that’s what I’m chasing.

After your session, I carefully hand-edit your images in a warm, timeless style so your gallery feels like your story—honest, emotional, and full of life.

At the end of it all, you won’t just have photos. You’ll have a collection of moments that feel like memories you can step back into.

FAQ

This is my first photoshoot, what should I know?

Your session will feel relaxed and natural. I’ll give you simple prompts instead of stiff poses, so you’re just interacting, moving, and being yourselves. Think of it more like hanging out than “posing for pictures.”

At first, it might feel a little new or even a bit silly—and that’s normal—but within a few minutes, things loosen up and it starts to feel really easy. I’ll be there the entire time helping you feel comfortable and confident.

You don’t need to know what to do, how to stand, or how to smile. Just show up as you are, and I’ll take care of the rest.

Are the travel expenses included in your packages?

There will be an additional charge for locations over 20 miles.

Can you recommend any good locations? What should we wear?

I have several favorite locations including lakesides, wildflower fields, open fields, and creekside spots. I’ll help you choose the perfect location based on your vibe and session type. I also can book a studio, if inside is a better fit for you.

Once you book, I’ll send over a full styling guide to help you coordinate outfits that photograph beautifully. I always recommend neutral, earthy tones and avoiding loud patterns or neon colors.

What if the weather is bad on the day of an outdoor shoot?

If the weather doesn’t cooperate, don’t worry—we’ve got options. I always keep an eye on the forecast leading up to your session, and if it looks like heavy rain, strong winds, or unsafe conditions, we’ll simply reschedule to the next available date that works for both of us.
